Brenda Gentry
Brenda Gentry (born November 3, 1975), widely known as “Crypto Mom,” is an American blockchain advisor, Web3 educator, entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and financial empowerment advocate. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gentry Media and Gentry Tech. Brenda is recognized for educating women, minorities, and underserved communities about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), and digital wealth creation.
Early Life and Education
Born in Kakamega, Kenya, Brenda later relocated to Germany, where she met her husband and raised her two daughters. While living in Germany, she served the United States government as a Local National employee before relocating to the United States with the military.
She later attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
Career
Brenda spent more than 20 years working in banking and finance at USAA Bank, where she gained extensive experience in the traditional financial sector.
In 2021, she made a major career transition into cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. According to Brenda, her crypto investments eventually surpassed more than a decade of traditional savings, inspiring her to educate others about digital wealth creation and financial empowerment.
Following her success in digital assets, she became self-employed and founded Gentry Media and Gentry Tech, organizations focused on blockchain education, emerging technology, media initiatives, and Web3 innovation.
