Shamim Hossen (Bengali: শামীম হোসেন) is a Bangladeshi Journalist, Screenwriter, Lyricist, Singer, Actor and Theater Director. He has Written more than 40 Songs and Written and Directed more than 150 Dramas and Short Films. He is Working Sports Department of the most Popular The Daily Jugantor, a First-class Daily Newspaper of Bangladesh. He won JP Media Awards 2021 and MK Entertainment Music Awards 2023. His Notable Works are Nabab Alom, Jadur Baksho, Chitar Agoon, Gorecho Provu and Jodi Thake Nosibe.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education

Hossen was born on August 10, 1992 in Jessore District of Khulna Division. he completed Honors in 2015 and Masters in 2016 from Jagannath University. he started his journalism career in 2014 with amadershomoy.com edited by Nayeemul Islam Khan. he working sports department of the daily Jugantor, a first-class daily newspaper of Bangladesh.[5][6]

Journalism career

Shamim started his journalism career in 2014 with amadershomoy.com edited by Nayeemul Islam Khan. He then worked for several popular online news portals in Bangladesh. Since 2016, he is working as a sports journalist for the daily Jugantor.

Musical career

Shamim has written and composed more than 20 songs and Islamic music, as well as sung them. His first song Dukher Feriwala was sung by popular Bangladeshi actor Fazlur Rahman Babu. He has also worked with musicians like Emon Khan, Ayon Chakladar, Touhidul Islam, FA Pritam, Krishna, Zebin and Awal.
