"Under You" is a song by Canadian singer and songwriter Link Strummer, independently released on October 24, 2025 as the lead single from his second album. It was written by Strummer and produced by Ole Pedersen.
Background and composition
In September 2025, Strummer began teasing the single on Instagram and TikTok, with promo reels and a post [1] announcing the context. Originally titled "Breadcrumbs", Strummer started writing the song in February 2025, inspired by mixed signals he was receiving. The song reflects the intense push-pull dynamic experienced in modern Gen Z "situationships".
Under You is written in the key of A minor, with a BPM of 165. Strummer’s vocal range spans from B2 to C5. The track’s drum pattern resembles a-ha’s “Take on Me” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”. The song’s artwork features Strummer lying face down on the floor while a woman’s high heel steps on him.
