Tragically, the passing of his father marked a turning point in his life, leading to his relocation to Ikirun in Osun State. There, he continued his educational journey at Heritage College Ikirun, enrolling in Junior Secondary School 1 through 3. Once again, Baasit distinguished himself with excellent academic performance and maintained a reputation for strong moral character. Throughout this period, he remained committed to his dream of becoming a medical doctor and being a positive influence within Islam.
 
Following his junior secondary education, Baasit furthered his studies at the School of Science in Ikirun, a place dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and professional goals. During his time at the school, Baasit embraced his faith deeply, becoming the Imaam of the school community.
