DJ Mac Cummings (born December 17, 1970), professionally known as the Turntable Minister, is an American gospel disc jockey, radio personality, and digital influencer. He is known for producing inspirational gospel mixes and for promoting gospel music through turntablism and online broadcasting platforms. He is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Early life and military service

Mac Cummings was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. During his childhood, his family relocated to Holly Springs, Mississippi, where he was raised. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy on June 1, 1988. His military service ended with an honorable discharge due to a physical injury. He has since advocated for veteran-related issues.

Barbering and entrepreneurship

In the early 1990s, Cummings moved to Memphis, Tennessee and began a career in the barbering industry. He worked at Exclus Barbershop in South Memphis, where he became known for creative hair designs, including a style referred to as "Gucci links."

He later opened Kutz Unlimited in the Raleigh area of Memphis from 1993 to 1994. He went on to own World of Kutz in the Hickory Hill neighborhood from 1996 to 2002. In 2002, he relocated his business to the Southwind area, where it operated until 2018.

Transition to ministry and broadcasting

Influenced by gospel and soul music from an early age, Cummings later transitioned into faith-based music and broadcasting. Using the name "Turntable Minister," he combined gospel ministry with DJ performance.
