Early Life

Hrishikesh Jadhav, known professionally as Hrishtune, was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, and raised in Pune, which he considers his hometown. He belongs to a family with a rich artistic and creative heritage.

His father, Shrikant Jadhav, is a respected international architect, and his mother, Sukeshini Jadhav, has been a strong pillar of support in his creative journey. His grandfather, Baburao Jadhav, was a renowned art director at Rajkamal Studio, having worked on landmark Indian films such as Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957), Navrang (1959), and Sehra (1963), and is remembered for his contribution to the golden era of Indian cinema.

Immersed in an environment rich in design, music, and storytelling, Hrishikesh showed early signs of creative passion. At the young age of 14, he moved to Dubai to study animation, demonstrating remarkable dedication and maturity. Though he gained formal training in animation, Hrishtune is largely a self-taught filmmaker, developing his unique style through personal experimentation and artistic exploration. His upbringing in Pune — a culturally vibrant city — further shaped his sensibility as both a musical artist and an animation film director, known for his emotionally resonant and visually poetic storytelling.

Career

Hrishtune is an Indian musical artist, lyricist, and animation film director. His songwriting often carries nostalgic, philosophical, and playful undertones. Some of his well-known tracks include Mein Patang Sa, Jo Nahi Hai Wahi Shiv Hai, Mein Bhoot Hun, Raah Ko Raah Dikha, and Mere Bachpan Ke Din. The songs are available on all major music streaming platforms, in addition to his musical work, he has ventured into animation filmmaking. His project Rabby and the Tortue – The Narrow Escape gained international acclaim, with multiple awards and official festival selections.

Personal Life

Hrishtune, born Hrishikesh Jadhav, comes from a family with a creative background. His grandfather, Baburao Jadhav, was a notable art director. He is the son of Shrikant Jadhav and Sukeshini Jadhav, and has a sister, Kashmira Jadhav. He is married to Shilpa Jadhav, and they have two children, a daughter, Samruddhy Jadhav (Samroo), and a son, Shiv (Xsuie).
