Md. Nure Alam Alif (Al Amin) is a Bangladeshi writer, poet, and theatre artist, widely known for his contributions to both traditional performing arts and modern Bengali literature. Born in the village of Purbo Dhara under Haluaghat Upazila of Mymensingh District, he was raised in a middle-class family and began his journey in the arts through rural Jatra Pala as a child actor. He later became affiliated with prominent theatre groups such as Brahmaputra Jatra Unit and The Palashi Opera, performing across various regions of Bangladesh, including prestigious venues like the Bangla Academy. His literary path emerged alongside his theatrical work, initially through writing and editing dialogues for plays, eventually leading to poetry. Alif’s poems have been published in numerous national and local newspapers and literary magazines, as well as in several collaborative poetry anthologies. He gained wider recognition with the release of his first poetry book "Rupali Shondhar Opekkhay" (In Waiting of the Silvery Dusk), followed by his second book "Karo Chokhe Chokh Rakhini" (I Didn't Look into Anyone's Eyes), both of which were well received by readers. In the digital space, Alif maintains a strong presence, regularly sharing his poetry and literary reflections on Facebook, personal blogs, and literature-based websites. His writing is appreciated for its blend of personal emotion, social insight, and humanistic themes, earning him popularity among both offline and online literary communities in Bangladesh.
