Samiur Rabbi Alex (born 12 February 2003) is a Bangladeshi computer science graduate, educator, and technical strategist known for his work in digital transformation, cybersecurity advocacy, and technology education. He is the Co-Founder of Research Hub, Vice President of the BAIUST Robotics Club, and Founder & CEO of Power UP, a digital learning platform dedicated to building Bangladesh’s next generation of tech professionals.

Early life and education

Born in Konabari, Gazipur District, Bangladesh, Samiur Rabbi Alex displayed early interest in computing and innovation. He completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from National Model College, Noakhali and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST).

During university, he rose to leadership roles — serving as Vice President of the BAIUST Robotics Club, where he led projects in robotics, automation, and embedded systems. He later co-founded Research Hub, a student-driven research community fostering collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and data-driven innovation.

Career

Lecturer, ICT

Alex began his professional journey as a Lecturer in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He redesigned course modules to integrate real-world applications and project-based learning, emphasizing digital ethics, problem-solving, and applied computing.

He mentored students in national tech competitions and developed classroom frameworks that combined STEM learning, creativity, and community impact — making technology more accessible and engaging for younger learners.

Technical Strategy Analyst – Digital Agency

Transitioning into the private sector, Alex joined a digital agency as a Technical Strategy Analyst. In this role, he focused on aligning technology systems with creative marketing strategies, helping organizations improve efficiency and digital maturity.

His work included:
