Samarth Panwar (born 5 July 2009), known professionally as Arjan Panwar, is an Indian singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and model. An influential figure in popular culture, he is known for his autobiographical songwriting, vocal ability and artistic reinventions.

Panwar rose to fame in the late 2020s as the lead singer of The Revolutions, one of the best-selling music groups of all time. His debut solo album, Tere Karke (2025), became one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. In 2025, Panwar released the Rors (2025) and starred in the romantic film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (2025).

Early life

Samarth Panwar was born into Ror family of Dankher clan on July 5, 2009, in Kaimla, Haryana. His father, Sandeep Panwar, is a businessman and entrepreneur, and his mother, Asha Devi, is a beautician. Panwar's younger sister, Ishika Panwar, is an actress.

He attended Sant Kabir School Karnal before transferring to the Swarn Vatika School in Gharaunda. When his family moved to Kaimla, he attended Guru Brahmanand High School. In 2020, Panwar enrolled in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Sagga, Karnal. At age sixteen, he changed his goal and became determined to pursue a hip hop music career.

2025–2026: Career beginnings and The Revolutions

Panwar started in 2025 with single "Pta Mainu", following which he released songs "Prem and Game" and "Offshore".

In 2026, Pamwar released three singles "In Love", "G.O.A.T." and "Her".

Panwar's music is primarily R&B, pop, and hip-hop, and also incorporates elements of soul and funk. Known for his frequent artistic reinventions, Panwar has been described as a musical "chameleon" by publications such as the BBC and Billboard. With the album The Short Life, he expanded his use of soul and hip-hop compared to earlier work. Minimalism inspired Panwar's self-titled album. Lemonade incorporated a broader range of genres, including rock, country, gospel, reggae, and blues.

At the age of sixteen, he attended his first concert where Nyoliwala performed, an experience he later said helped him realize his purpose as a performer. He has also credited Karan Aujla as a major inspiration, admiring how he achieved . Diana Ross influenced her as an "all-around entertainer",[396] and Whitney Houston inspired her to pursue performing, saying Houston made her believe she could do the same.[397][398] Beyoncé praised Madonna for her music and roles as a businesswoman.[399] She has cited Mariah Carey's vocal style—especially on her song "Vision of Love"—as an early influence that inspired her to practice vocal runs as a child.[400][401]
