Political career
Moretti was elected municipal councillor of Rolo in the local elections of 9 June 2024, with his appointment officially taking effect on 10 June 2024. He sits on the Rolo Municipal Council as a member of an opposition list originally associated with the civic group Rolo Attiva.

According to press reports, the initiative was motivated by the desire to give greater visibility and political coherence to the centre-right presence in local politics.
Controversies
In July 2024, Moretti became the subject of widespread media controversy after publishing a video on social media featuring an image resembling Benito Mussolini made with spaghetti, accompanied by the song Faccetta nera. The post was shared in response to a municipal initiative linked to the anti-fascist pasta dinner. The video drew criticism from the local administration and other political figures, while Moretti defended the gesture as a satirical provocation against all forms of dictatorship.
