FUME was founded in 2020 by Jagannath Das and Dr. Uma Mittal.

Before founding the company, Jagannath Das held leadership roles at Samsung, Bosch, and Aptiv. His personal experience with obesity, metabolic dysfunction, and functional medicine became a catalyst for creating FUME.

Dr. Uma Mittal, a metabolic health practitioner with certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), Precision Nutrition, and NASM, co-founded the company with a focus on hormonal, gut, and metabolic health. Her clinical training and personal experience with hormonal challenges contributed to the company’s root-cause approach.

The founders launched FUME with the objective of creating a platform positioned between conventional disease treatment and generic wellness coaching.
