Background and Early Life

Hrishtune (born as Hrishikesh Jadhav) was born on 5 September 1985 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, and raised in Pune, which he lovingly calls his hometown. He belongs to a family deeply rooted in art, architecture, and storytelling.[1][2][3][4]

His father, Shrikant Jadhav, is a noted international architect, while his mother, Sukeshini Jadhav, has been a constant guiding force behind his creative journey. His grandfather, Baburao Jadhav, was a celebrated art director at Rajkamal Studio, remembered for his work in iconic Indian films like Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957), Navrang (1959), and Sehra (1963).[5][6]

Growing up in such a creatively rich environment, Hrishtune displayed artistic instincts from an early age. At 14, he moved to Dubai to pursue animation studies, showing immense dedication and curiosity. Although formally trained, he developed his own signature filmmaking and musical style through experimentation. Pune’s cultural landscape deeply influenced his approach to art, making him known for his emotionally rich, poetic, and visually cinematic works.[7]

Artistic Career

Hrishtune is an Indian musical artist, lyricist, and animation filmmaker whose songs often blend nostalgia, philosophy, and gentle humor. His well-known tracks include Mein Patang Sa, Jo Nahi Hai Wahi Shiv Hai, Mein Bhoot Hun, Raah Ko Raah Dikha, and Mere Bachpan Ke Din. All are available across leading music platforms. His award-winning animation short, Rabby and the Tortue – The Narrow Escape, received recognition at international film festivals.[8][9]

Personal Life

Hrishtune, born Hrishikesh Jadhav, belongs to a creatively inclined family. He is the son of Shrikant and Sukeshini Jadhav, and the grandson of art director Baburao Jadhav. He has a sister named Kashmira Jadhav. He is married to Shilpa Jadhav, and together they have two children — daughter Samruddhy Jadhav (Samroo) and son Shiv (Xsuie).[10]
