Kim Imran (Arabic: كيم عمران) is a Moroccan internet personality, dancer, and content creator recognized for his innovative role in the K-pop community and active online presence.

Early Life

Kim Imran was born on August 10, 2003, in Morocco. From childhood, he developed a strong interest in music and dance, with K-pop serving as his main source of inspiration.

Career

Kim Imran first gained attention online through social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where he shared K-pop dance covers, challenges, and lip-sync performances. Although he has faced criticism from some audiences in the Arab world for his dance style and occasionally feminine presentation, he continued producing content that appealed to an international fan base.

Fans often credit him as one of the earliest figures in Morocco to popularize K-pop-in-public challenges, a trend involving dance performances filmed in public areas. This style helped strengthen the Moroccan K-pop community and attracted global online viewers. Outside of his digital content, he also found success in competitive K-pop dance, winning battles both domestically and internationally.

On October 12, 2024, Kim Imran released his debut book, Your Guide to Learning K-pop Dances: Tips for Quickly and Professionally Developing Your Skills, which was published in English and Arabic, available in both paperback and digital editions.[1]

In June 2025, Kim Imran drew significant attention when he attended Becky G’s concert at the Mawazine Festival in Rabat while cross-dressed, later releasing a YouTube vlog recounting the event.[2] In the video, he spoke about experiencing sexual harassment in the streets and called for more awareness and action against gender-based violence in Morocco. On June 27, 2025, he posted a Pride Month video featuring rainbow-themed makeup and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” symbolizing solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.[3] The content received widespread engagement from LGBTQ+ members and allies online.

His posts related to concerts gained strong traction, with videos from Becky G and Aespa performances, along with Pride celebrations, surpassing one million total views across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This reinforced his growing influence as a content creator.

On August 7, 2025, Kim Imran introduced his fashion platform Shop Kim Imran’s Looks, showcasing his outfits alongside item links. The site initially launched with two looks inspired by the Becky G and Aespa concerts.[4]

Personal Life

Kim Imran’s creative work combines advocacy, identity, and artistic performance. His decision to appear publicly in cross-dress and openly participate in Pride celebrations highlights his stance on visibility and representation for marginalized groups in Morocco. Outside of his career, he values time with family and friends and uses his platform to promote cultural dialogue and artistic expression.
