Thomas Puech (born 4 November 1992) is a French entrepreneur, fund manager, and digital asset strategist based in London, United Kingdom. He is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of INDIGO Fund, an institutional digital asset yield platform, and co-founder and Managing Partner of SH Digital, an institutional cryptocurrency brokerage. Puech is recognised as one of the early professionals to have built a regulated institutional career in cryptocurrency markets in London, having entered the space in 2016.

Early Life and Background

Thomas Puech was born on 4 November 1992 in Paris, France. He comes from a family of entrepreneurs, with both parents having built businesses in the medical sector. This early exposure to entrepreneurship shaped his professional mindset from a young age.

He grew up in Paris before relocating to London following the completion of his baccalauréat, in pursuit of higher education and international career opportunities. From an early age, he developed strong interests in music, finance, and emerging technologies. He first encountered cryptocurrency in 2016, which became a central focus of his subsequent career.

A key turning point came in 2016 when he entered the crypto space while working as an analyst, positioning himself early in what would become a major global industry.

Education

Puech attended École des Roches, a private institution in Normandy, France, for his secondary education. He subsequently pursued higher education across France and the United Kingdom.

He completed a Bachelor's Degree at the Grenoble École de Management (London campus), followed by a Master's Degree at Cass Business School — now known as Bayes Business School — part of City, University of London. His education, completed entirely between France and the United Kingdom, provided him with an international business perspective and a strong foundation in institutional finance.

Career

Early Career in Finance

Thomas Puech began his professional career in traditional finance. He joined Christofferson, Robb & Company (2017–2018) as a Business Analyst within a leading investment firm specialising in credit strategies, where he developed strong analytical skills and a foundation in institutional finance.

In 2018, he transitioned into a front-office role at Square Global Markets as an Equity Derivatives Sales-Trader, gaining direct exposure to market execution, client management, and trading environments.

Enigma Securities (2018–2022)

In 2018, Puech joined Enigma Securities, one of the first Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-regulated institutional cryptocurrency brokerage firms in London. Over the following years, he played a key role in the development of the firm, rising to the position of Managing Director.

During his tenure, he built deep expertise in:

  • Institutional cryptocurrency trading
  • Liquidity provision
  • Market structure analysis
  • Client relationship development

He worked closely with hedge funds, family offices, and crypto-native firms during the early institutional adoption phase of digital assets.

INDIGO Fund (2022–Present)

After departing Enigma Securities in 2021, Puech identified a significant market inefficiency: billions of dollars in digital assets were sitting idle without optimised yield strategies. In early 2022, he co-founded INDIGO Fund alongside Nathanaël Cohen and international artist and entrepreneur BLOND:ISH.

INDIGO Fund was built to bridge traditional finance standards with decentralised finance (DeFi) opportunities, offering institutional-grade yield strategies with a strong focus on:

  • Full liquidity, with no lock-up periods
  • Risk management
  • Execution quality

The fund launched with approximately US$5.5 million in initial capital, with early investors including Winklevoss Capital, The Sandbox, and a number of leading cryptocurrency and hedge fund investors. It subsequently grew to over US$25 million in assets under management, attracting a global client base of institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

INDIGO Fund focuses on yield and market-neutral strategies across digital assets — including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and stablecoins — leveraging DeFi infrastructure and market inefficiencies to generate consistent, risk-adjusted returns.

In 2023, the fund reported an annual performance of 37.42%, receiving coverage from Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, Access Newswire, and the Universal Business Journal.

As Co-Founder and CEO, Puech is responsible for:

  • Defining the fund's strategic direction
  • Leading capital raising and investor relationships
  • Structuring and scaling institutional yield products
  • Overseeing partnerships and ecosystem development

Notable clients and partners include Winklevoss Capital, The Sandbox, MoonPay's CEO, and Barry Sternlicht, CEO of Starwood Capital.

SH Digital (2022–Present)

In parallel with INDIGO Fund, Puech co-founded SH Digital with Nathanaël Cohen. SH Digital is an institutional cryptocurrency brokerage platform providing:

  • Cryptocurrency-to-fiat on/off-ramp solutions
  • Large-scale trade execution
  • Liquidity and treasury services

The company serves a global client base including hedge funds, corporates, and payment companies, acting as a bridge between traditional finance and digital assets.

NRG Token (2026–Present)

In 2026, Puech co-created NRG, a community-driven token bridging Web3, culture, and music. The project enables access to exclusive experiences and represents a new model of community engagement at the intersection of digital finance and entertainment.

Industry Events and Public Engagement

Puech has been an active organiser and participant within the global blockchain and digital assets community. Notable engagements include:

  • Paris Blockchain Week 2026 — Eiffel Tower Closing Event: Hosted the official closing party of Paris Blockchain Week at the Eiffel Tower, attended by over 300 institutional and industry guests, alongside INDIGO Fund and the NRG token community.
  • Art Basel Miami — INDIGO Activation: Hosted a high-level Web3 and cultural gathering during Art Basel Miami Beach.
  • Dubai — INDIGO & Pacha Ecosystem Events: Organised events in Dubai supporting strategic positioning within the Middle East cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Media Coverage

Puech has been cited across a range of financial and technology media. In 2026, he was quoted by Reuters on institutional cryptocurrency flows, commenting on the absence of significant capital outflows from the United Arab Emirates despite regional geopolitical instability. Coverage of INDIGO Fund's performance and expansion has appeared in Business Insider, Yahoo Finance, Access Newswire, Cointribune, and the Universal Business Journal.

Personal Life

Outside of his professional activities, Puech has a strong personal interest in music production and DJing, with active involvement in the global electronic music scene. His passion for music and electronic culture runs alongside his engagement in financial markets and technology.
