Amos Le Blanc is a Canadian film director based in Toronto and Los Angeles. He is a two-time Cannes Young Director Award winner, a MuchMusic Video Award recipient for Director of the Year, and a member of The One Club's Young Guns 17 class (2019).[1] He is the founder of Bremo (bremo.io), a Canadian personal finance comparison platform.

Biography

Amos Le Blanc began his career in Toronto's music video scene in the early 2010s, gaining recognition for visceral, high-concept short-form films. He initially gained attention directing videos for electronic music artists in the Toronto scene, including Thugli, Autoerotique, and Keys N Krates.

His video for Thugli's track "Run This" was published by Vice in December 2013 and later won the Gold award (First Prize) at the Cannes Young Director Award in 2015.[2] His video for Autoerotique's "Asphyxiation" became viral in May 2013, surpassing one million views and winning the MuchMusic Video Award for Best Electronic Video.[3]

Le Blanc won a second Cannes Young Director Award for his video "The Gates" by Young Empires, and separately won the MuchMusic Video Award for Director of the Year.

In August 2016, Le Blanc signed with The Sweet Shop, an international commercial production company. The signing was reported by multiple advertising industry outlets including shots.net, Little Black Book (LBB) Online, adobo Magazine, Campaign Brief, and The Stable.[4]

In 2019, Le Blanc was selected for The One Club for Creativity's Young Guns 17, an annual program recognizing creative professionals under 30.[1]

Music video work

Le Blanc has directed music videos for artists on XO, OVO, Universal Records, Sony Records, and Capitol Records. Notable videos include:

  • Rudimental featuring James Arthur — "Sun Comes Up" (2017): The single reached #6 on the UK Singles Chart. The music video has over 34.6 million views on YouTube.[5]
  • Keys N Krates — "Dum Dee Dum" (2013): Certified Gold by the RIAA. Winner, Prism Prize.
  • Thugli — "Run This" (2013): Won the Cannes Young Director Award Gold (First Prize) in 2015. Featured on Vice.[2]
  • Autoerotique — "Asphyxiation" (2013): Won MuchMusic Video Award for Best Electronic Video. Over 1 million views.[3]
  • Young Empires — "The Gates": Won a Cannes Young Director Award.
  • Program — "Waiting": Produced by David Newfeld of Broken Social Scene.

Commercial work

Le Blanc has directed commercial campaigns for global brands including Mercedes-Benz, Apple, Tesla, Disney, Beats by Dre, American Express, Budweiser, Air Canada, Canon, McDonald's, Holt Renfrew, and Sport Chek.

His work for Beats by Dre received Webby Honors from the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

Bremo

In addition to his film career, Le Blanc founded Bremo (bremo.io) in 2025, a Canadian personal finance comparison platform that tracks bank signup bonuses, referral codes, and promotional offers from major Canadian financial institutions. As of 2026, Bremo covers over 4,300 pages on Canadian banking, investing, and tax topics.
