Abdulla-Al-Asif
Dr. Abdulla-Al-Asif is a Bangladeshi researcher, academic, consultant, and scientific publishing professional specializing in marine ecology, biodiversity, aquaculture, environmental sciences, and interdisciplinary biological research. He is recognized for his contributions to scientific research, academic writing, editorial development, and international research collaboration. Dr. Al-Asif has been actively involved in promoting scientific communication, evidence-based research, and scholarly publishing across multiple disciplines.
Early Life
Dr. Al-Asif was born in Bangladesh, where he developed a strong interest in aquatic sciences, marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental conservation from an early age. His academic journey reflects a continuous dedication to fisheries, aquaculture, and ecological research.
He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fisheries from the Department of Fisheries and Marine Bioscience at Jashore University of Science and Technology. He later earned his Master of Science (MSc) in Aquaculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Pursuing advanced research in marine and ecological sciences, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marine Ecology and Biodiversity from Universiti Putra Malaysia. During his doctoral studies, he also served as a lecturer, teaching courses related to aquatic ecology and aquatic invertebrates.
Carrer Life
Dr. Al-Asif has established a multidisciplinary career spanning academia, scientific consultancy, research management, and scholarly publishing. His professional experience includes teaching, research supervision, scientific communication, editorial coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration in fisheries, aquaculture, ecology, biodiversity, and environmental sciences. He served as a Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia, where he was involved in teaching and academic activities related to aquatic and environmental sciences. He also worked as a Research Assistant at Universiti Putra Malaysia, contributing to research projects in marine ecology and biodiversity. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Research Assistant at Bangladesh Agricultural University and at IDRS–BFRI-JUST, where he participated in interdisciplinary environmental and fisheries-related research initiatives. Outside academia, Dr. Al-Asif also worked as a Customer Service Officer at ACI Animal Health, gaining experience in animal health services and professional communication within the agricultural and livestock sectors.
He currently serves as the Executive Director of Genesis Research Consultancy Limited, where he is involved in research consultancy, academic publishing support, scientific project management, and international research collaboration.
