Sir Patrick Bijou
Sir Patrick Bijou is a British investment banker, fund manager, diplomat, venture capitalist, structured finance specialist, and bestselling author. He is known for his work in debt capital markets, private placements, structured financial products, and investment banking. Sir Patrick is recognised internationally for his contributions to structured finance and private placement programs.
Early life
Sir Patrick Bijou was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America, in 1958. Due to family circumstances, he later moved to the United Kingdom, where he completed his education. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in business, finance, and investment banking.
Seeking greater opportunities in global finance, he relocated to the United States and spent over a decade working within the Wall Street financial sector. During this period, he developed expertise in portfolio management, financial planning, project management, and financial modelling.
Career
Sir Patrick Bijou has built a distinguished career in global finance, investment banking, and structured financial products. His expertise in debt capital markets and private placements established him as a recognised figure in the financial industry.
He has managed and founded hedge funds, including The Tiger Fund, and previously served as a Director at BlackRock. Throughout his career, he has worked with governments, financial institutions, and private clients by creating off-balance-sheet financial structures and investment solutions designed to address capital inadequacy and funding requirements.
Sir Patrick is recognised as a T1 Trader, Level 17 investment banker, and structured finance specialist. He has extensive experience in asset management, financial engineering, and private placement programs.
In addition to finance, Sir Patrick has served in several diplomatic and humanitarian roles. He has been an Ambassador for the International Rights and Welfare Association (IRAWA), Ambassador for The Academy of Universal Global Peace USA, and a member of the Royal Diplomatic Club.
He also serves as President of International Banking Relations at the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club and has acted as a trustee, governor, and board member for several NGOs, IGOs, and educational institutions.
