Neloy Chandra Das is a Bangladeshi student leader, volunteer, photographer, voice artist, and youth organizer. He is known for his involvement in youth leadership, event management, media work, community volunteering, and tourism-related student activities in Bangladesh.

Early life and education

Neloy is from Tongi, Gazipur, Bangladesh. He studied in the Business Studies group at Siraj Uddin Sarker Vidyaniketan & College, where he completed his SSC, and later completed his HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka.[1]

He is studying Tourism and Hospitality Management under the National University On-Campus Program in Bangladesh. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of the People.[1]

Career and activities

Das has worked in administrative and documentation-related roles. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as an Office Assistant at Tongi Sanatan Co-Operative Credit Union Limited, where his work included administrative support, financial record handling, internal reporting, communication, and event support.[1]

He has also been involved in volunteer and event operations with several educational, media, and youth-focused platforms. His experience includes work with the National Newspaper Olympiad, Pearson, British Council, The Daily Star, BRAC Kumon Limited, and other youth and education-related events.[1]

Volunteering and emergency response

Das is an official community volunteer with Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence. According to his CV, he completed a three-day intensive training at Tejgaon Fire Service Station covering firefighting, search and rescue, and basic first aid.[1]

His CV states that he participated in emergency response activities during the Milestone plane crash incident in July 2025 and the Mohakhali fire incident in August 2025.[1]

Leadership

Das has held leadership and coordination roles in student and youth organizations. He co-founded the National University Tourism and Adventure Club and has served as a class representative in the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department at National University.

He has also worked with youth and media-based initiatives, including ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, National Newspaper Olympiad, and Bangladesh Youth Fellowship for Health Awareness.

Photography and voice work

Das is also active as a photographer and voice artist. He runs the photography project Frames of Neel[2] and the voice storytelling page Neel Dar Goppo.[3][4]

Awards and recognition

Das completed the Aspire Leaders Program in 2024, a leadership program founded by Harvard Business School.[1]

He received the 1st Semester Presentation Award as “Best Presenter” in the Introduction to Business course at National University.[1]

He also achieved the Bronze Standard of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award on 28 March 2024.[1]

His CV also lists recognition as Student of the Semester at University of the People and a poem recitation award from an inter-school cultural competition.[1]

Case competitions

Das has participated in business and innovation competitions. His CV lists participation in the HSBC–BRAC Business Case Competition 2025, Southeast Bank PLC Presents Entrepret Season 3 by NSU YES, and Smart Technologies Presents INNOVADE 2026 by NSU MIBC.[1]

Skills

Das has experience in event management, volunteer management, crowd coordination, crisis response, social media management, photography, video editing, audio editing, and design tools. His technical skills include Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, DaVinci Resolve, Filmora, CapCut, and Audacity.[1]
