Ekansh (born July 28, 2005) is an Indian experimental ambient and electronic music artist, developer, and creative technologist. He is known for producing atmospheric soundscapes and nostalgic textures through his solo music and humorous side-project *Ballscord*. In addition to music, Ekansh is the founder and lead developer of [TinChat.online](https://tinchat.online), a retro-styled social chat platform inspired by early internet culture.
Early Life
Ekansh Sharma was born in India in 2005. He began experimenting with music production in 2019, starting with lo-fi hip-hop, which he uploaded to SoundCloud. He later explored vaporwave and ambient genres under different aliases.
Career
After creating music as *Wood*, Ekansh adopted his real name in 2023 to represent a more personal and atmospheric approach to his art. His projects are known for their dreamy, glitchy, and often emotionally raw compositions. In 2024 and 2025, he released multiple albums and EPs independently and through underground label [BOGUS Collective](https://boguscollective.bandcamp.com/).
As a developer, he launched [TinChat.online](https://tinchat.online), a modern retro-themed website focused on anonymous text/video chat and social interaction, heavily inspired by MySpace, Discord, and 2000s-era web aesthetics.
