Md. Nure Alam Alif (Bengali: মোঃ নূরে আলম আলিফ), also known by the pen name Al Amin, is a Bangladeshi writer, poet, and theatre artist. He is known for his contributions to both traditional stage performances and contemporary online Bengali literature.
Early Life and Background
Alif was born in the village of Purbo Dhara under Haluaghat Upazila, Mymensingh District, Bangladesh. He was raised in a middle-class family and developed an early interest in the arts. As a child, he entered the world of performing arts by acting in rural Jatra Pala (folk theatre) in child roles.
Theatre Career
He became affiliated with notable folk theatre troupes such as Brahmaputra Jatra Unit and The Palashi Opera, through which he performed in various stage productions across Bangladesh, including notable venues like Bangla Academy. His engagement in theatre extended beyond acting to writing and editing dialogues for plays.
