Babai Sen (born 29 April 1990) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who primarily works in Bengali and Hindi cinema. He is the founder of the production company Arshi Entertainment Productions, and is noted for launching projects aimed at bridging regional cinema to a pan-Indian audience.

Early life and education

Babai Sen was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He developed an interest in film and storytelling from a young age, and gradually moved into writing and directing feature films and media projects.

Career

Sen made his directorial debut in 2019, and over subsequent years he expanded his work to include feature films in both Bengali and Hindi languages. In 2025, he wrote and directed the emotional drama film Mihira, which was released on 19 September 2025 across India. 3 The film features actors such as Sajal Barman, Rabindranath Ghosh, Rahul Roy and Kharaj Mukherjee. 8
