Landmass is a character created by Play With This Too as part of their Lost Protectors series.

Development

Landmass was designed by Rik Alvarez with the help of Mark Wong.

Art of Deep Earth Explorer was displayed at Retrocon 2014.

Artwork under the name Landmass was released on the Play With This Too Facebook page in January 2015.

Reception

The Retro Robot Radio show for September 27th, 2014 discussed Astroblast, Desolataur and Deep Earth Explorer in the news.[1]

The Star To Star Toys News podcast for September 30th, 2014 discussed Astroblast, Desolataur and Deep Earth Explorer in the news.[2]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for January 28th, 2015 discussed Play With This Too in the news. One host said he wanted to buy "not-Cloudburst", meaning Astroblast and another said they wanted anything Inhumanoids inspired, meaning Landmass. [3]

Fictional biography

Landmass is a member of the Grand Protector Armada. He wears a living Aegis battle suit powered by the primal forces of the universe. It grants him enhanced strength, durability, longevity and the ability the fly, as well as having numerous weapons. He has a Tech Drone companion named R-Deco.

Toys

A 6 inch tall articulated figure with interchangeable head and limbs. He has numerous 5mm connector ports. Comes with an optional armored head.
Landmass shares his molding with Astroblast.
Landmass shares some parts with Ankhor, Goldminer, Ironstrike and Mainsail.
