Alaa Abdulridha is a software engineering leader and cybersecurity researcher known for securing the systems of Facebook, Twitter, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He currently serves as Engineering Director and Security Engineer at SerpApi, where he leads teams building scalable, secure web scraping and API solutions. Recognized in the bug bounty communities of Facebook and Twitter, Alaa has earned multiple Hall of Fame honors and international recognition for responsible disclosures. His previous experience includes securing enterprise systems at Hyundai AutoEver Europe GmbH and leading infrastructure security at GPS LVN. Fluent in Arabic, English, German, and Russian, Alaa has also earned certifications from ACM, AAAI, OWASP, and Offensive Security. His philosophy blends secure-by-design software development with proactive threat modeling and continuous learning.

Alaa’s technical expertise includes Ruby on Rails, scalable backend systems, penetration testing, automation pipelines, cloud security, distributed crawling infrastructure, SOC-2 and ISO 27001 compliance, and secure platform architecture. His work focuses on delivering systems that are secure, fast, transparent, and built to scale globally.

Before joining SerpApi, Alaa led vulnerability research and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions for Hyundai AutoEver Europe GmbH, where he secured enterprise-wide automotive digital platforms and enhanced global security posture across cloud and on-premise environments.
