João Maria Botelho (born 19 November 2001) is a Portuguese jurist, author and sustainability advocate working in the fields of ESG, public policy and climate regulation. He founded the youth platform Generation Resonance and has been featured in Forbes Portugal's 30 Under 30 for his work in sustainability and social innovation.[1]

Education

Botelho holds a law degree (LL.B) from NOVA School of Law.[2]

Career

Botelho works on legal and regulatory issues related to sustainability, climate policy and corporate governance. His work and commentary on regulatory challenges and climate-related policy implementation have been featured in Portuguese media outlets, including Jornal de Negócios and Jornal Económico.[3][4]

He has also published and coordinated academic work on sustainability, including contributions to a manual on ESG.[5]

Public engagement

Botelho founded Generation Resonance, an initiative focused on youth leadership in sustainability, policy awareness and civic participation.[6]
