Yoduh (English: Gabriel Elbert; born May 23, 2002) is an American independent musician known for blending emo rap, cloud rap, and lo-fi trap.[1] His work is characterized by minimalist production, melodic vocal delivery, and emotionally driven lyrics exploring themes of anxiety, isolation, relationships, and self-reflection.

He gained recognition through self-released music on platforms such as SoundCloud and major streaming services, alongside visual branding built around an original illustrated character used across social media.

Early Life

Yoduh developed an interest in music at a young age, spending time studying underground hip-hop and internet-based music scenes. Early in his creative journey, he began recording songs using GarageBand on his mobile phone, teaching himself basic production and songwriting through experimentation.

While in school, he faced criticism and bullying related to his music, experiences that later influenced the emotional themes present in his work. Despite this, he continued creating independently, using online platforms to share his early recordings and refine his sound.

Career

Yoduh emerged as a DIY artist, distributing his music digitally and building an audience organically through social media and streaming platforms. His releases typically feature atmospheric instrumentals, repetitive hooks, and emotionally raw lyricism aligned with underground hip-hop and emo rap movements.[2]

He promotes his music using short-form video content, animated visuals, and original artwork tied to his character branding. In addition to solo work, Yoduh collaborates with other independent artists and producers.

Operating without major label backing, he continues to release music independently while growing his online presence and fanbase.
