Dr. Fatemeh Moazzamipeiro is an Iranian Ayurveda practitioner, clinician, researcher, and educator, recognised as the first citizen of Iran to complete formal Ayurvedic medical training (B.A.M.S.) and currently pursuing M.D. in Samhita & Maulik Siddhanta.[1]

Early life and education

Moazzamipeiro completed her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery [B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya)] as part of the 2016 batch at National Institute of Ayurveda, Deemed University, Jaipur (NIADU), becoming Iran's first formally trained Ayurveda Doctor/Vaidya.[2]

She is currently completing her Doctor of Medicine (Ayurveda) [M.D. (Ayurveda Vachaspati)] in the Department of Samhita & Maulik Siddhanta at the NIADU, focusing on clinical research of Grahani Dosha correlated with Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Career

Moazzamipeiro presented a policy paper at the International Symposium on Policy, Legal and Regulatory Landscape of Traditional and Complementary Medicine 2024, hosted by Tehran University of Medical Sciences.[3]

She has filed a patent application with the Indian Patent Office related to Ayurvedic innovations.[4]

Personal life

Moazzamipeiro is married to Avvinish Annant Narine, the first Trinidadian Ayurveda practitioner to complete formal Ayurvedic medical qualifications (B.A.M.S., M.D. Panchkarma).
