Amos Le Blanc is a Canadian director and cinematographer known for music videos and commercials. He works between Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Los Angeles, California, United States.

Le Blanc has received two Cannes Young Director Awards, a MuchMusic Video Award for Director of the Year, and was named to The One Club's Young Guns 17 class in 2019.

Biography

Amos Le Blanc is a director and cinematographer who began his career in Toronto's music video scene in the early 2010s. He initially gained attention directing videos for electronic music artists in the Toronto scene, including Thugli, Autoerotique, and Keys N Krates.

His video for Thugli's track "Run This" was published by Vice in December 2013 and later won the Gold award (First Prize) at the Cannes Young Director Award in 2015. His video for Autoerotique's "Asphyxiation" became viral in May 2013, surpassing one million views and winning the MuchMusic Video Award for Best Electronic Video. The video was profiled by Directors Notes and featured in an interview on IMVDb Blog.

Le Blanc won a second Cannes Young Director Award for his video "The Gates" by Young Empires, and separately won the MuchMusic Video Award for Director of the Year.

In August 2016, Le Blanc signed with The Sweet Shop, an international commercial production company. The signing was reported by multiple advertising industry outlets including shots.net, Little Black Book (LBB) Online, adobo Magazine, Campaign Brief, and The Stable.

In 2019, Le Blanc was selected for The One Club for Creativity's Young Guns 17, an annual program recognizing creative professionals under 30. His selection was covered by LBB Online.

Le Blanc has directed music videos for artists on XO, OVO, Universal Records, Sony Records, and Capitol Records. Notable videos include:

  • Rudimental featuring James Arthur — "Sun Comes Up" (2017): The single reached #6 on the UK Singles Chart. The music video has over 34.6 million views on YouTube. Covered by amnplify.
  • Keys N Krates — "Dum Dee Dum" (2013): The single was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Covered by VideoStatic.
