Ekansh (born July 28, 2005) is an Indian experimental ambient and electronic music artist, producer, and web developer.[1] He is known for his immersive textures, nostalgic compositions, and self-produced releases. Ekansh has released multiple EPs and albums since 2023 and is also known under the alias Ballscord for experimental meme-style music.[2]
Early Life
Ekansh Sharma was born in India on July 28, 2005. He began making music in 2019, initially producing lo-fi hip hop tracks which he uploaded to SoundCloud under the name Wood.[2] Over time, he transitioned to vaporwave and eventually into ambient and experimental electronic music.
Career
In 2023, Ekansh began releasing music under his real name, marking a shift toward deeply personal and immersive compositions.[3] His early ambient projects gained traction on platforms like Bandcamp, Spotify, and SoundCloud.[2]
His releases have been catalogued on Album of the Year.[4] He is also developing TinChat, a retro-inspired chat platform.[5]
