Alexander Holtermann was born in Göttingen, Germany. He holds degrees in Political Science, Psychology, and Law from institutions including Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and the Technical University of Braunschweig. He also earned an MBA from the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt. As a Fulbright Scholar, he studied at The American University in Washington D.C. and interned at the office of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter.

Holtermann began his career in varied fields, including work as a flight attendant at Lufthansa AG and in journalism at ZDF’s WISO editorial office and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. He later held senior roles such as Managing Director at Asian Capital & Equity Ltd. in Hong Kong and Scottee Mobility GmbH in Germany. From 2015 to 2019, he served as CEO and Director at iCrowdU Inc., where he led the creation of a web-based crowdfunding platform and a blockchain-based cryptocurrency called CrowdToken. He also served as Head of IT Operations at VTB Bank Europe SE, overseeing business applications and the core banking system.

Contributions to AI and technology

As Trendscout and Head of Innovations at Fincon Reply GmbH, Hamburg, Holtermann developed AI solutions for banks and insurance companies. In 2024, he founded MangoSeed.AI, focusing on on-premise AI software that emphasizes data protection for corporate and private clients.
