Ian Timis is a Romanian-Australian Natural Resources Executive, Private Equity Advisor, and Energy Transition Strategist with over 20 years of leadership across the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. His international career spans Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East, with involvement in projects valued at over US$4 billion.
Timis has overseen the full lifecycle of major resource assets, from exploration and financing to construction, production, public listing, and strategic exit. He has led landmark transactions, including the US$2.4 billion sale of European Goldfields to Eldorado Gold, where he served as Vice President and played a key role in post-merger integration and capital strategy, and the US$750 million capital raise and dual listing for African Petroleum. Throughout his career, he has delivered cross-border transactions involving sovereign partnerships, institutional capital deployment, and ESG integration, bridging deep operational expertise with transactional acumen.
