Johnflames is a multifaceted individual, Self crowned Reggae Doctor for his love for Reggae Music. He's a professional DJ/VDJ, Tech Guru, Radio Host, Blogger, Role Actor, Electronics Engineer, Digital Forensics expert etc. He's a seeker of knowledge, a lover of creativity, and an explorer of the extraordinary. His fame and popularity rose from his unending and gigantic struggles as a musical and video producer, night club Deejay (DJ) in Nairobi and a Reggae Icon in various Kenyan on-air Radio Stations.
Early Life and Education
Born as John Wangila Kukhuvilo, in Bungoma County, Webuye East Sub County, Johnflames is the second to be born in a family of Seven (7); six (6) males and one (1) female. His father is a local farmer and a retired teacher while his mother is a housewife. Johnflames attended Silungai primary school for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E) certification and S.t Francis high school Makemo for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) certification both in Bungoma County. He holds a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Dominion Training Institute, A higher Diploma in Computer Science from University of South Africa in Johannesburg, A Diploma in Music and Production from Wema Music School in Nairobi , a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kitale National Polytechnic in Kitale and certificates in Film & theatre performances, Criminology, Psychological guiding and counseling, forensic science, media law and ethics, Human Resource Management etc. He's also a dropout medical student from Daystar University Nairobi Campus.
Employment History
Known for his introverted yet profound personality, Johnflames has immersed himself in diverse fields—from Radio, Print & TV Journalism, Tech & Innovation, Audio Visual Production, Arduino and Megatronics Engineering, Digital Forensics, Phycological counseling, DVJ, Blogging etc. He's been dominant in the Radio and TV industry both as a DJ and a Reggae program host. Hosted international shows as a Reggae DJ; in Addis Ababa, Pretoria, Kampala, Ghana etc. In the Tech world, Johnflames has worked with big Tech giants in Kenya, Betika, Safaricom PLC, Fedora, Valley Point Telecoms Fibre Ltd (V.T.L), Jumia, Safaricom PLC. He also founded Techvibes, a kenyan Technology & gadgets review website blog.
