Leela Rani Kodali

Leela Rani Kodali is an Indian educator, social activist, entrepreneur, and author. She is known for her contributions to education, social welfare, academic publishing, and creative media. Early Life and Education
Leela Rani Kodali was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her early education at Holy Angels Convent, Chennai. She later pursued higher studies at Stella Maris College, Chennai, where she completed her PUC, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and Bachelor of Education in Social Studies. Her academic background in sociology and education shaped her long-term commitment to teaching and social development.
Career Education and Teaching Kodali began her professional career as an English teacher and later advanced to the role of Principal at Padma Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, an institution run by Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao. She was recognized for her leadership, classroom innovation, and dedication to student welfare. Her service in education was honored with the Best Teacher Award presented by the then Mayor of Chennai, M. K. Stalin. In addition to teaching, she contributed to academic publishing by authoring textbooks and workbooks for Ryan Publications, Mumbai, for students from Standards 1 to 8, covering subjects including English, Environmental Studies, History, and Geography.
Social Activism and Philanthropy Leela Rani Kodali has been actively involved in social service throughout her career. She has worked with the Sathya Sai Committee Lions Club, organizing free coaching classes, educational excursions, and guidance programs for underprivileged children. She has also independently provided free tuition and academic support to school dropouts, focusing on education as a tool for social empowerment.
Entrepreneurship and Media Expanding into the creative sector, Kodali founded Bala Leela Arts, an Indian production company. Through this venture, she has been involved in film and media projects, combining creative storytelling with social and cultural themes. Leadership Roles Kodali has held several leadership positions, including Secretary of the Youth Congress, Chennai. She later became the President for Hyderabad of the United Nexus Organization, an international organization dedicated to education, cultural exchange, and social causes.
