Shreelakshmi Bhat (born 22 October 2009), popularly known as Babyshree, is the Youngest Female Director, Actress, Author, Musician, Athlete, and Social Activist. Recognized as the Youngest Filmmaker, she has established herself as a Multi-Talented Achiever across Cinema, Literature, Sports, and Social Service. Her creative and social contributions have earned her multiple National and International Awards, as well as recognition in several record books worldwide.

Early Life and Education

Shreelakshmi Bhat, was born 22 October 2009 in Honnavar, Karnataka, India, into a Hindu Havyaka Brahmin Family. From her early years, she displayed an extraordinary interest in Storytelling, Performing arts, and Academics.  She completed her primary schooling at Marthoma Central School, Honnavar, and is currently pursuing her further studies.

She is also a National Level Olympiad Gold Medalist, with 56+ Gold and 24+ Silver Medals in academics. Her Academic Brilliance, combined with her Artistic Instincts, shaped her multidimensional career path.

The Youngest Female Director

Shreelakshmi Bhat made her Directorial Debut at the age of nine with the film Prakrati, The project became an important milestone because it introduced her as the Youngest Female Director.

She continued her filmmaking journey with Srushti at the age of twelve, which brought her wider recognition for its strong emotional content and fresh narrative style. This project showed that her first attempt was not a one-time achievement, but the beginning of a long and determined career.

At the age of fourteen, she directed Nadhanka, a film that reflected her growing maturity in storytelling and visual presentation. During the production, she handled two professional cameras (Red Dragon and Red Helium) and successfully led a crew of 118 members on set. Remarkably, the entire shooting process for the film was completed within ten hours, reflecting both her preparation and leadership skills.
