Wikipedia

Wikipedia is a free, web-based, collaborative multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. It was launched on January 15, 2001, by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, and has since grown to become one of the most visited websites globally. Wikipedia's content is created and edited by volunteers around the world and is available under a free license, allowing anyone with internet access to contribute to and use its articles.
