Yossi Aharon (Hebrew: יוסי אהרון) is a musician, singer, Greek bouzouki player and entrepreneur. He is the owner and founder of The Greek World (Hebrew: Haolam Ha'yevani), the first and largest website in Israel dedicated to Greece, Cyprus, the Greek culture, language and music.

Early Life and Professional Background

He began his musical journey at the age of 3, studying music theory and later mastering the piano, violin, and bouzouki. In addition to his musical career, he is a professional Full Stack Web Developer. In 2007, he merged his technical skills with his passion for the Greek culture and music to launch "The Greek World," which he continues to develop and manage as an independent platform.

Combining his passion for Greece with his professional expertise as a Full Stack Web Developer, he founded The Greek World (Greek.co.il) in 2007. From website and online forum it established itself as Israel's primary information hub for anything related to Greece and the Greek islands. Yossi Aharon is regarded as one of Israel's leading bouzouki players, recognized for a unique playing style that blends technical virtuosity with deep emotional improvisation (taximi). His frequent visits to Greece and performances on various stages helped him develop a profound affinity for Rebetiko and Laïkó music.

In 2009, he published The Magic of Bouzouki (Kessem Ha’bouzouki), the first comprehensive bouzouki instructional book in Hebrew, which includes detailed musical scales and techniques. The book has sold over 1,000 copies in Israel.

In August 2012, he released his first album, Melodies From The Heart which includes Greek bouzouki instrumentals. He also maintains a significant educational presence on platforms like Udemy, teaching the bouzouki and Greek music to students worldwide.
